03 Mar Michael Fehr Named PTR Montana Member of the Year
Hilton Head Island, SC – – Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) presented its annual awards last week during the 2015 PTR International Tennis Symposium. The event, which includes more than 40 educational presentations for tennis teachers and coaches, a trade show and tournament, was held February 19-22 on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
Michael Fehr, of Victor, Montana, has been named PTR Member of the Year for the State. This award is presented to a PTR member who has shown dedication and diligence in promoting and supporting tennis and PTR.
Upon graduating high school, Fehr began teaching tennis for the Utah Public Parks, and has been conducting tennis clinics in Corvallis, Montana, for 12 years. A PTR member since 2006, Fehr is certified in two PTR education pathways: Adult Development and 11 to 17. In his sixth year as Head Girls Tennis Coach of the Corvallis High School, Fehr is a No-Cut Coach. Recently, his team won its second consecutive State Championship.
PTR is the largest global organization of tennis teaching professionals with more than 15,000 members in 125 countries. It has the greatest percentage of multicultural and women members of any such organization. PTR is dedicated to educating, certifying and servicing tennis teachers and coaches around the world in order to grow the game.
