United States Tennis Association-Montana (USTA-MT) USTA-MT is one of six districts within the Intermountain Tennis Association, which is part of our parent company, the United States Tennis Association. USTA-MT is a not-for profit organization that is charged with the governance of tennis within the state of Montana. There are currently 1,600 individual adult and junior USTA-MT memberships. Along with the individual memberships, there are 10 Community Tennis Associations, 9 tennis clubs, 9 Parks & Recreation Departments, 3 colleges, and 4 service organizations who are current USTA-MT members. These organizational members provide and maintain 20 indoor and 254 outdoor courts for Montana residents and visitors. USTA-MT organizes tournaments, manages USTA-Leagues, provides junior programming, and allocates grants for both communities and juniors throughout Montana.

USTA-MT offers 8 league opportunities throughout the season: Adult 18 & Over, Adult 40 & Over, Adult 55 & Over, Adult 65 & Over, Mixed 18 & Over, Mixed 40 & Over, and ITA  Mixed 18 & Over League, and Tri Level League. More than 700 individual USTA adult and senior members play these events. There are over 75 teams expected in the 2023 Adult League, each consisting of a captain and 6-12 players in the Adult League.

The popularity of Montana’s USTA League Tennis is outstanding! The program has doubled in size since 1992. Over 400 players have participated each year since 2009. The number and geographic distribution of League players in Montana presents a fantastic marketing opportunity for organizations in the area. Not only will sponsoring League events help USTA-MT promote programs like schools tennis, but it also creates a powerful marketing tool for businesses in Montana.
